Today many people are blinded from the truth of salvation. They are blinded by Satan (the devil) and it is up to the Christian believer to help those that are blinded by the deception. If we do not tell the truth of Jesus Christ, than Satan’s snare will continue to take hold in someone’s life, and they will never see the truth. What are we suppose to tell people about what God expects. We are to tell them about having repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. This means that a person should repent from all sins, turn from them and then cleave to the Lord Jesus Christ.
In case you don’t know, Satan is considered the god of this world because he is walking about seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). 2 Corinthians 4:4 says, “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” The believer of Jesus Christ, should witness to others, share the gospel so that their family and friends can be saved. The prophet Isaiah said, “He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted.” He was talking about the Devil blinding people so they could not see the truth. In case you don’t believe you can be blinded, let me tell you, that Satan can confuse you so bad, that you don’t understand anything or able to see clearly things that God is trying to reveal to you. I know this from my own personal experience. Read my testimony here.
In Acts 26:18 Paul tells us what our ministry is. We are ‘To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith.’
If you have not received the free gift of salvation from Jesus Christ, then you will not receive eternal life in Heaven. You must repent from your sins, pray to the Lord and ask him into your life. You must believe in God’s son, Jesus Christ. He was born on this earth and then died on the cross, as a sacrifice for your sins. Then, he arose the third day where he now resides with the Heavenly Father- God. He hears your prayers and he intercedes for you, which means he makes pleas on your behalf.
Many of these topics are covered on this blog.
Acts 4:10-12-Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Isaiah 42-6-8-I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
2 Peter 1:9-But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
Psalm 146:8-The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind: the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down: the Lord loveth the righteous:
1 Peter 5:8-Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Revelation 3:17-Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
