Hell- A Place of Torment

Have you ever burned your finger on a stove or burnt your mouth from drinking something too hot? Imagine how bad the pain felt. Imagine burning like that all over your body including your mouth. There is a place of torment where people will burn forever, called Hell. Hell is real place that exist and is described in the Bible. A sinner who refuses to repent and accept Christ as their Savior will go to such a place. There is only one way into Heaven and that is through Jesus Christ.

Hell enlarges itself daily with the ones who reject Christ. Isaiah 5:14 says, Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. So it is important to accept Christ now. Revelation 20:15 says, And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Is your name written down in the book of life?

Satan’s demons are in hell. 2 Peter 2:4 says, For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; Matthew 25:41 says, Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. God does not want you to go to this place of torment. You have a chance to escape this place called Hell. Accept Jesus Christ as your Savior.

To give the best description of hell, let’s look at the following verses.

  • Mark 9:45–And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
  • Matthew 25:30–And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
  • Luke 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
  • Revelation 20:10–And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Hell is a real place of torment, burning, fear, and unquenchable thirst.  To escape this place, all you have to do is accept Christ into your life and repent of your sins.  Now is the time to accept the free gift of Salvation.  If you have a need or question, use our comments tab at the top of the screen.
