There are so many people that are hurting; they are grieving lost ones, grieving their health condition, worried about their finances; they are in emotional turmoil. Often people who are grieving and stressed are overlooked by others, because people don’t take time to stop and listen. Sometimes people just needs someone to listen to them in order to feel cared about. There is one that will always be there for you and his name is Jesus. You can call on him any time and he will be there. You can ask him for any need you have and he will help you.
Sometimes it is stress that can bring a person to their knees and hinder their outlook on life. They often become depressed, emotionally drained, suicidal, and their health deteriorates. One thing that I have discovered is that knowing that someone cares about you, can help any problem or burden that you bear. Well let me tell you that Jesus loves you and cares about you more than anyone. He cares that you are upset and crying. He loves you so much that he would give his life for you and he already has done it. He gave his life for your sins on a cross. Jesus loves you and wants to help you with your life. He is just waiting on you to talk to him.
When a person is going through a mental roller coaster, it helps them to improve their outlook to have someone to talk to, someone that shows them empathy and compassion. There is no greater example that a person can use to help someone is to show them the love of Christ for them. Jesus showed love for all mankind, including the soldiers that came to take him to prison. Remember Peter used a sword to cut off one of the soldier’s ears (Luke 22:50,51). Jesus healed his ear. He had compassion for those that were blind, deaf and lame and healed them (Matthew 14:14 & Matt 15:30). He fed people that were hungry (Luke 9:13-16). When Jesus was on the cross, he said, “Father forgive them, for they know not what they do” (Luke 23:34).
If you are having a hard time in your life and feel that no one is there for you, God cares for you. He cared enough for you to give his only son to die for your sins. Jesus came to die for the sins of the whole world. He loved you enough to stay on the cross when he was nailed to it. So if you have a problem, conflict or strive- go to the Father in prayer. Accept that Jesus died on the cross for you, ask forgiveness for your sins and he will forgive you. He will help those that call upon him in prayer (Psalm 20:1-6).
1 Peter 5:7- Casting all your cares upon him, for he careth for you.
The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;
Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;
Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.
Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfill all thy counsel.
We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the Lord fulfill all thy petitions.
Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.
