Things are happening right now in the world that is making people fear, lose faith, question God. The Coronavirus has some people fearing to leave the house. The government is trying to keep everyone in their homes or limiting them from going out. People are fighting over food, toilet paper and such. Churches are closing doors or keeping them open despite only having a small handful of people attending. Hospitals are limiting visitors who can come visit loved ones and/or altogether stopping visitors from coming. Stores are closing early, schools have closed for the semester. Why has the world changed overnight? A virus that came from China has killed several people and has spread like wildfire. Its understandable that the world would question what is going on. But for the saved, the church of God, the Christian should know that this would come to pass. The Bible has told us that in the last days, perilous times shall come (2 Timothy 3:1). We don’t have to fear, Psalm 91:10 says: There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
Matthew 24:7 tells us that in the last days, For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. We don’t have to question what is happening because Jesus told us that these things would come to pass before his return. We don’t have to fear either. We have a great physician. Matthew 9:35: And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
All we have to do is look around and realize that Jesus is coming back soon and we need to be ready. We need to get our house in order. Repent for our sins and take this time to spread the gospel to our families and friends. Tell them that Jesus is coming soon. 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17-For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
