The Answer to Many Questions

question

I’ve had a lot going on these last couple months.  Not only sickness but have been dealing with some stressors in my life.  It is so hard to not get angry at what is going on, in not only my life, but in the world.  There are some in the world that simply don’t care about what they do or do to others. I’ve been struggling with what to do with a certain situation in my life, that is getting hard to bear. So I prayed and asked the Lord to guide me and direct me with my actions.

It is hard for me to keep quiet when I see someone being mistreated or taken for granted.  I want to speak up and help them, even though they don’t like my help.  They think that I am overstepping, and perhaps I have been.  So I asked God to guide me in this situation.  I questioned why this was happening.  Sometimes God doesn’t always answer our prayers the way we want him to.  Sometimes it is not for us to know why.  Sometimes it is for our learning, or someone else’s learning.  Sometimes God allows us to go through tribulations to help us grow as a Christian.  So anyway, I was praying and seeking answers last night, and the most perfect answer came to me.  Love!

You may ask me how this answers any question, but it really does, so much.  When I want to stand up and yell at someone or try to correct them, it might make them rebel against me.  So instead, God showed me that Love answers the question that I have been looking for.  Learning to love people despite their circumstances, despite how mean they are to you, despite their failures, can help any situation.  Why?  Because I know that if I show Love to them, it will either get them to change their ways, or it will at least get them to change their attitude.  Maybe we can teach others by loving them; by showing them the love of God.  No, it probably will not change them overnight, but it will change them.   Isn’t that what a Christian should do anyway.  To love others as Christ loved us.  To love others despite what they do to us. Love can means so many other things too.  I’ll give you a few examples.

  1. Love- Means showing kindness
  2. Love- Means having forgiveness
  3. Love- Means sacrifice-  (Look at what Jesus done for us on the cross).
  4. Love- Means showing humility
  5. Love- Means Giving
  6. Love- Means Encouraging others
  7. Love- Means Bearing  or Enduring Things
  8. Love- Means Overlooking Faults of Others
  9. Love- Means Being Hopeful
  10. Love- Means Having Hope
  11. Love- Means Having Grace
  12. Love- Means Showing Mercy
  13. Love – Means Helping Others
  14. Love- Means Wanting Others to have Happiness
  15. etc…..

(These were found in 1 Corinthians 13, Ephesians 1, Ephesians 4).

So try showing love when you are overwhelmed with someone.  Showing love helps us to have a inner peace that only God can give us.  Thank you God for this answer!
