Many seem to be fascinated with the royals; whether it is the new Duchess Megan Markle, Princess Kate, Princess Diana or Prince William. Newspapers and outlets often report their every move. Today royals are still over several countries: including Spain, England, Denmark and the Netherlands.
Most people know that you are either born into nobility or marry into it. With royal blood, you’re usually set up for life, including having plenty of money, palaces, fine carriages, cottages, etc….
This wasn’t the case for Jesus. He was born of the lineage of King David but didn’t live a life of honor. Jesus is the son of God and should have been respected. Instead he was born of a humble birth, then later killed on a cross. He never received his rightful place as King. But, we know that one day Jesus will return and take his rightful place as King, and he will reign forever.
To prove this let’s look at what the scripture says.
Luke 1:31-33 says: And beold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
Then look at what Matthew says: And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel (Matthew 2:6).
Ezekiel tells us more of this kingdom. ——And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children’s children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever. Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. – Ezekiel 37:21-26
