Where does Peace come from? Are we simply lucky enough to have it in our lives or are we blessed with it? You may think Peace comes easy to you, but to others they seek Peace in their lives but cannot seem to attain it. So they wonder, how can I have a life of Peace and happiness. They may think that they are good people and never did anything wrong to others. Maybe they give to the needy once a year, or say kind words to others whenever they can. But why can’t they have peace and how can they live a life of peace.
To me the answer wasn’t as simple as it really is. To me I sought it with all my heart and couldn’t have it. I was constantly afraid: afraid to shut my eyes at night, afraid to go anywhere, afraid of never having peace. If you have peace, than you never really know what it feels like to not have peace. Not having peace was the worst experience I ever had in my life. My head hurt, I was nervous, terrified, really afraid!
One day I realized that the only hope and peace that I would ever have was through Jesus Christ. He gave me that peace and comfort that I truly desired with all my heart. See I strayed from my life with Jesus. I tried to walk alone because I was filled with pride. I wanted to accomplish something great and to be admired by others.
See Jesus was my only hope and my only answer of peace. When I turned back to Jesus and sought him with all my heart, he gave me an overwhelming peace that I was missing. So the answer to where Peace comes from: It is from Jesus. See Jesus is a symbol of peace to the world. He was born an innocent baby from a loving Heavenly Father above. Then one day, he became the Savior to all those that believed in him. You can have that peace if you simply trust in him and ask him into your heart and life.
The Bible even tells us:
- Luke 1:79-To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
Luke 19:38- Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
Luke 2:14- Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
