Are We About the Father’s Business?
One day when Jesus was 12 years old, Mary and Joseph couldn’t find him among the company traveling with them. When they found him in the temple. Jesus said, “How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business? So we should ask ourselves, Are we about the Father’s business?
So what is the Lord’s business today? It is the same as it was when he was on the earth. His business was to win souls. He wanted to preach the gospel of the Kingdom of God. Matthew 24:14 says: And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. So we must tell others about Jesus and how to receive eternal life in the kingdom of God.

Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.”
James 5:20 says, “Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.”
