What an overwhelming love the Father has for us, because he gave his only son to die in our place, for our sins, and the sins of the whole world. Then for Jesus to show grace to those that sin is way beyond comprehension. Grace is a quality of love; It is showing unfavorable merit to the undeserving. It is love from the Father that gives us an unearned forgiveness from our sins, when we deserve nothing from God. God’s continuing grace allows all men that accept Christ to have eternal life. Romans 3: 23-25 says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God. Mankind is not able to do anything to earn eternal life, it is only by the grace of God that we are saved. “But God, who is rich in mercy, for this great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in our sins, hath quickened us together with Christ. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast,” Ephesians 2:4,5,8,9. 1 Corinthians 13:4 says, Charity suffereth long, and is kind. I think of the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. He showed us an unconditional love, and overwhelming love that kept him on the cross. He endured great suffering, mocking, scourging, crucifixion because he cared for the soul of mankind. Then he continues to forgive man of his sins, despite his disobedience.
Not only does God love us but he continues to wait for us to come to him freely. He doesn’t push us to love him, but gives us our free will. We know that Jesus said, “If you have seen me, you have seen the Father.” This basically means that Jesus is just like his Father. He loves us, he cares about us, he shows us compassion when we are hurting and he can comfort us when we are sad. He knows all about us; he even know the number of hairs we have on our heads. God is Almighty and All Knowing. He knows what we need before we ask. He wants us to be happy and live godly lives. Sometimes when we ask for things, God knows that it will either be good for us, or not. So be thankful for God’s protection over our lives. He not only protects us from harm, but protects us from being hurt inside. He wants us to be happy and live a joyful life. God is much more than just our Father, but he is our teacher, master, Lord, protector, provider, friend, comforter, healer, leader, supplier, guardian, maker, our peace, our happiness, our hope, our righteousness, etc…
If you don’t know the love of Jesus, I urge you to accept Jesus as Lord of your life and he will give you that love, a new heart, he will become your atonement, and you will become one of his children. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
