Anyone keeping up with the news knows that the Lord’s return is drawing closer. I urge you to take a look around you, and see if there is someone that doesn’t know the Lord Jesus. Perhaps there is that coworker that you have been wanting to share the gospel with, but you are afraid to tell them about Jesus, or you fear what they may say or do. I know how hard it is to share the gospel with others that you have been around for a while, but have never had the chance to share the good news of Jesus Christ with. I struggle too! But, we must press on. We must get about doing our Father’s business. We need to get busy sharing Jesus with others because one day things will change. We might not have that opportunity again. The Lord could come and take his people home to be with him. Or, something could happen to that person that you need to witness to. I want to encourage you to step out of that comfort zone and take that step; allow the Lord to help you and show you the way. Pray and ask for his guidance and direction. Pray for his words to speak through you. He can and he is able. Just take the first step and allow Jesus to lead you!
Matthew 9:35-38 tells us: Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
Luke 10:1-11 says: After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves. Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way. And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again. And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house. And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say, Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
If you are that one that doesn’t know Jesus Christ, I urge you to pray and ask him into your life and heart. He can restore you and give you peace. He will forgive you of your sins if you would only believe on him. He is the son of God and he is life. All those that call upon the name of Jesus shall be saved.
