This question has been asked multiple times by the believer in Christ. Some have doubted that God seals your salvation unto death or the day of redemption. The best way to show you that your salvation is preserved and kept by the power of God into the day you die, I will show you scriptures to prove it to you. Remember don’t ever listen to someone tell you something about the Bible without having scriptures to back it up. A Christian, a believer in Christ, is sealed with the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 1:13,14 says, “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.”
1 John 5:13 tells us, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” To have eternal life; that is forever. That is not a partial life until things get hard, but eternal life forever. “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus” (Philippians 1:6). “Who will also confirm you to the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 1:8).
Ephesians 4:30 says, ” And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.” If God puts a seal on something, trust me nothing can get through that seal. Romans 8:35-38 says, ” Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Not even Satan himself can penetrate that love of God. He might try but God is in control of everything.
Nothing we do can separate us from the Love of God. When he sealed you, he sealed you unto the day of redemption. Now if you sin and continue in that sin; then yes, the Lord may end your life. He will not allow you to continue in sin. God is a loving God and he gives us chances to repent and turn from sin. If you refuse to turn from sin, then he might go ahead and bring you home. I tell you that it is God’s grace that we are forgiven. Nothing we can do will help us get into Heaven. It is a gift from God when we receive his son, Jesus Christ. Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Jesus says that whoever comes to him, he will not cast away. John 6:35-39 says, “And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not., All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.”
Jesus accomplished salvation to all men that believe when he was on the cross. “But He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God, For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified.” (Hebrews 10:12, 14) If a person could lose their salvation, then Christ would have died in vain. Jesus blood was a perfect sacrifice and is able to cover our sins forever. Psalm 103:12 says, that he cast our sins as far as the east is from the west; so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
God said he would never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). That means that if he never leaves us then he is always with us. Sometimes we might have to go through a trial in our lives but it is to strengthen us and make us a stronger Christian. 1 Peter 1:7 says, “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.”
Remember that the Christian’s preservation, security, and salvationo is not dependent upon himself, but upon God. It is good news that the Christian is kept by God’s love and power. That salvation is completely apart from the works and merits of the believer. Nowhere in the Bible is the Christian given the responsibility of keeping himself saved and maintaining, under penalty of loss, his salvation. Jesus and God is able to keep us unto the day of redemption. Romans 1:16 says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Romans 6:3,4-Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Romans 8:10,11-And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Ephesians 2:8,9- For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
