Jesus loves us and cares about us. He told his disciples that when two or three are gathered together in his name, he would be there with them. Matthew 18:20 says, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” The Bible tells us that nothing can separate us from the love of God. Romans 8:38,39 says, “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” So no matter what happens on this earth, Jesus will be with us and he will help us.
He wants us to care about him to. He wants us to share and teach the gospel with others. Matthew 28:20 says, “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” If we love Christ then we will follow what he tells us to do. Don’t think that anything you do, Jesus doesn’t know about. He says he is with us and he knows about things we are going through and he knows when we sin against him.
Since we know that Jesus is always with us, we should teach and share the gospel to others. We are to continue to following his commandments that he has laid out to us through his word. A couple of people have said to me recently; “There is sin everywhere you look, sin is in everything.” They were using this as a license to sin. They were mocking and saying, “Well sin is everywhere. If you look hard enough you will find sin in everything.”
My reply is: Just because sin is everywhere does not give us a license to sin. Romans 6:1-4 says, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
Jesus called us apart from sin. If you are doing something and you discover sin is in it, than turn from it. Yes Satan tries to blind our eyes to things and we might not see sin at first. That is why we must pray for guidance from God. Let him be our Shepherd and guide us into his ways. Psalms 23:1-3 says, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”
I tell you these things to warn you. No one is without sin. “All have sinned and fell short of the glory of God.” We need to follow as close to Jesus as we can. He will help guide us to all truths. He will guide us to his truth through his holy Bible. He wants us to learn of him and to study his word. Psalm 119:11 says, “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” The Lord has been leading me to memorize his word and I suggest you do the same. There might come a day when the word of God may be taken from you and you will need to know scriptures in order to give an answer to those that ask of you.
Romans 5:12-Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Romans 3:23-For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
2 John 1:4-I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.
1 John 4:6-We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
2 Timothy 2:15-Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
