The Lord Will Provide

Probably everyone has experienced times that their finances become unmanageable.  What once seemed like enough money to pay your bills every month now seems as if it will not stretch until the next week.  Let me tell you that I know times get rough sometimes, and there are times when money starts to run thin.  Sometimes God might use our money situation to get our attention.  Perhaps he is teaching us a lesson about faith.  He wants us to trust in him for all our troubles, whether it is money, health or other needs.

I recall the story of how Jesus fed the multitude of 5000 with seven loaves and two fishes. You can read the story in Mark 6:41-44.  Another time, God protected his people by allowing Moses to part the Red Sea in Exodus 14.  They were able to cross on dry land.  Sometimes we see great miracles that help our faith but sometimes God allows things to come into our life that increase our faith another way.  Sometimes we might have to get down to our last dollar to see a miracle.  Sometimes we might see our Father on his deathbed not breathing to see a miracle.  It is those miracles to me that are the greatest.  They are the type that will lift you up when you are broken and cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel.  It is those miracles that occur when you see no hope in sight, that God will grab hold of you and show you who he really is.

I have been at that point where I thought there was no hope in sight.  I have been broken and humbled before the Almighty God to see how great a God he is.  Once my Father stopped breathing and the doctors had already given up on him, but God never did.  It was when we thought nothing could be done, when God showed us who was really in charge.  Another time my daughter’s health was at an ultimate low and I was grieved beyond compare.  There was nothing doctors could do, but there was something my God could do.  Don’t ever think that God isn’t in control of everything because he is.  When you think that there is no hope, there is.  See God is the hope of everything we have and everything we are.  God is an everlasting hope of life and peace.  God wants us to realize that.  That is why he allows things in our life, that we don’t understand.  It takes us to come to that low that we look up and trust in the Almighty God above.

Matthew 6:25,26 says, “Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?  Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?”

If you haven’t experienced that hope in Christ, I urge you to trust in God.  I beg you to trust in Jesus Christ, for he is peace, love, joy and everlasting life.  He can help you recover from any situation you may be in.  Trust in him today!
