Easter Sunday is a Christian holiday celebrating the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from the grave. The significance of this is that Jesus is alive and that we serve a risen Savior. He is as real as you and me. He was crucified on the cross, buried and arose the third day for our sins. He became our sacrifice when he went to the cross. After three days he arose from the grace. This proves that Jesus was God’s son.
Jesus paid the penalty for our sin when he died in our place; so that whoever believes in him might have eternal life. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Jesus told his disciples that he must go to the Father but one day he will return to receive us unto himself. John 14:3 says, “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” You must receive Jesus as your Savior or you will miss his second coming.
If you are ready to accept Jesus as your Savior then all you have to do is go to him in prayer. If you don’t know what to say when you pray then you can use this prayer as a model prayer, but you must pray from your heart. Jesus isn’t looking for an elegant prayer but a heart-felt prayer.
Lord Jesus, I humbly come before you to ask for your forgiveness for my sins. I believe you came to this earth, died and arose the third day. I believe you died for the sins of the world including mine. I ask you to be my Savior and come into my heart. Please accept me into your family and make me your son. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

Luke 23:45-56 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost. Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man. And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, smote their breasts, and returned. And all his acquaintance, and the women that followed him from Galilee, stood afar off, beholding these things. And, behold, there was a man named Joseph, a counsellor; and he was a good man, and a just: (The same had not consented to the counsel and deed of them;) he was of Arimathaea, a city of the Jews: who also himself waited for the kingdom of God. This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid. And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on. And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid. And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment. Luke 24:1-7- Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
Matthew 27:53-And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
